TEHRAN -- Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Chairman Yahya Al-e Es'haq stated on Tuesday that the country’s economy is in stagnation.

Speaking at a panel held in Mehr News Agency on “Visible and Invisible Aspects of the Economic Reform with Regard to Orientation of Subsidies,” Al-e Es'haq noted that giving direction to subsidies in the country is not a new issue and it was first brought up some 20 years ago.
Al-e Es'haq said that currently two thirds of the countries revenues is being distributed randomly.
He pointed out that the cooperation of the Majlis (parliament), the administration and other governmental organizations is needed to properly direct the subsidies and if this is not done the project faces defeat.
He warned that if this project is politicized it would turn into the biggest historical blow.
Seyed Reza Azimi Director of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security’s department for Orientation of Subsidies, and member the Specialized Committee Workgroup for Economic Reform of the government was present in the panel
